The standard height of our cakes is 5.5”. Tall cakes are 8.5”.
We measure our cakes by the diameter of the sponge without including the coating. Standard 6” cakes typically work out to be 6.5” -7” as a final product. That way, you will never get an end piece with too little sponge and too much buttercream.
The first and most important decision to make is whether you want to serve coffee or dessert portions to your guests. That will determine the size of the cake you need. Here is a diagram to illustrate the portion sizes we use.
Dessert portion can be cut as a rectangle or a wedge slice. Wedge slice can be slim and tall, or you can cut a thicker wedge portion which is then sliced across the middle into two. Here are some examples of how to cut a standard 6” cake into 12 dessert portions.
The chart below explains the number of portions per size of a cake.
We have built some diagrams to give you a good idea of how big the final cake would be.
We are happy to accept bank transfer, PayPal or cash.
The service we offer is unique, so we are unfortunately unable to price match other suppliers. Our cakes are priced according to the time and skill required to create them, as unfortunately both quality & time costs.
We require a 50% non-refundable Booking Fee to confirm a cake order and hold the date. The remaining 50% is due six weeks before the delivery date, at which point all changes must be confirmed (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). Orders placed less than six weeks in advance of the delivery date must be paid in full. The final balance specified on the invoice must be paid by the Buyer 6 weeks before the delivery date. Payment can be made earlier if you wish.

The first and most important tip we can offer you is that when it comes to cakes, the fridge is not your friend. The fact is, refrigerating a cake actually makes it go stale faster.
The best thing to do is to keep it at room temperature. This means on the counter, away from heat, and out of direct sunlight. Once the event is over the rest of the cake can be stored in an airtight container for up to two days. If you do choose to refrigerate your cake, please remove it 30 minutes before serving to ensure soft sponge and creamy buttercream.
Our cakes are delivered packaged if you're planning to eat it within 24 hours, that's all you really need to do.
If you're thinking of holding your cake for longer than that, you can leave it in the box and wrap the box with plastic wrap, which will keep the cake from drying out for up to three days.
Ignore this advice for our mousse cakes. These should be kept in the fridge for no longer than 3days.
Due to the nature of mousse cakes, we do not recommend freezing them as it may have adverse effects.
