The wedding CAKE PROCESS

We would like to take the opportunity to congratulate you on your upcoming wedding! We are delighted you are here and taking the time to explore our bespoke wedding cake service.

Each and every cake is completely customized to what your specifications are. From your initial consultation to the first moment when you slice into your beautiful bespoke wedding cake, we’re happy to work with you to finalize every detail.

First step

The best way to enquire about a bespoke cake is to email us directly at Information such as date, event details, number of people, budget, flavour preferences and design ideas will really help at this stage. Consultations are available on selected dates if you would prefer to talk about the details over a coffee. (Zoom and Skype consultations are also available). Consultations require a £40 booking fee, that is refunded against the cake if you choose to use our services. If you are keen to secure your date prior to the consultation you can secure your booking with a £100 'save the date' non-refundable booking fee, which ensures your date is booked.

Second step

During our consultation, we will discuss your ideas and inspirations for your bespoke wedding cake. We will also offer a selection of our favourite flavours over a coffee. For those that would prefer to do the consultation online, we offer a box of cake samples, which are sent out at selected dates during the year. The cake tasting box will consist of 6 generous portions of different random flavours of sponge cake.  A £40 charge will apply for our tasting boxes.

Third step

At this stage we will send you a proposal with a design of your cake based on the details given during our consultation. Changes and tweeks can be made to the design to create the ideal cake for your day. Once the design and flavour has been finalised we will need a 50% deposit to save the date. The other 50% is required six weeks before the event. The bespoke wedding cake will be hand delivered and beautifully set up by us on the day.

To give each cake the attention it deserves we will not take on more than we can handle. So it is best to get in contact as soon as you can, so that we can book your cake in.

Dietary & Allergy?

We are very happy to discuss with you and advise on any dietary requirements or allergies. Trace elements are always a risk as everything is made on the same equipment in the same kitchen so we cannot absolutely guarantee that there won’t be trace elements in our products.  All of our products are made 'from scratch', using local ingredients where possible. Please get in touch for further information.

The best thing to do is keep it at room temperature. This means on the counter, away from heat, and out of direct sunlight. Our wedding cakes are delivered packaged and  will be set up by our team. Once the event is over the rest of the cake can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for uptown three days. If you do choose to refrigerate your cake, please remove them 30 minutes before serving to ensure soft sponge and creamy buttercream. If you are freezing your cake completely cover the cake with plastic wrap, making sure to wrap airtight. Follow by wrapping with at least 2 layers of heavy duty aluminum foil. The more protection you give the cake, the less chance of freezer taste or freezer burn.

When do you deliver?

We personally hand deliver our cakes during the hours of 10-6pm Wednesday to Sunday. Please contact us for a specific delivery time or a delivery time outside our usual hours.

Where do you deliver to?

We currently only deliver to London and Surrey postcodes. Certain postcodes may incur an additional delivery fee. Dependant on order size we may be able to supply your event outside of these areas. Please get in touch for more information.

What is your returns policy?

If upon delivery the cakes are not the ones you requested, the cakes are in a damaged condition or the order is incomplete, then please let us know immediately. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
